* To pronounce my last name, say this quickly: Cause-Itch-Cove. For aficionados: my 'real' name is Лев Александрович Козачков (Hebrew: אריה-לייב).

About Me

I run the Dynamic Intelligence Lab at Brown University. Our work centers on fundamental questions in the modeling and learning of nonlinear dynamical systems. We are particularly interested in building and understanding systems that themselves learn, adapt, and act intelligently.

Previously, I was the 2024–2025 Goldstine Postdoctoral Fellow in the Mathematics of Computation Department at IBM Research. Before that, I completed my PhD at MIT in the Department of Brain and Cognitive Sciences (thesis). Finally, way back in ancient prehistory, I majored in physics and minored in mathematics at Rutgers University in my hometown of New Jersey.
